What gets a category. What does not.
A category exists when
- A Canadian issuance pathway exists for the underlying.
- A qualified Canadian custodian is willing to hold the underlying.
- Eligibility rules can be expressed pre-trade.
- A bank cash leg in CAD can settle the trade.
A category is excluded when
- The underlying is not legal to trade by Canadian accredited investors.
- The category requires a registered marketplace category 4ormEx is not pursuing.
- Eligibility cannot be checked deterministically.
- Settlement requires manual reconciliation.
