What gets a category. What does not.

A category exists when

  • A Canadian issuance pathway exists for the underlying.
  • A qualified Canadian custodian is willing to hold the underlying.
  • Eligibility rules can be expressed pre-trade.
  • A bank cash leg in CAD can settle the trade.

A category is excluded when

  • The underlying is not legal to trade by Canadian accredited investors.
  • The category requires a registered marketplace category 4ormEx is not pursuing.
  • Eligibility cannot be checked deterministically.
  • Settlement requires manual reconciliation.
